24 Hours in Brighton

This weekend we drove all the way from Cornwall to spend 24 hours in Brighton. That might sound crazy but the crazy thing is that in my whole 26 years I've never been there, so that had to change!

Mike actually had to be in Brighton for wok, so after a 6am start (ouch) we made it there for about midday. So Mike pulled up to the seafront so I could swiftly  exit the car and he could be on his way. I instantly took the obligatory Brighton Pier snaps and then headed straight towards the shops, shocker!

I spent the afternoon inbetween Churchill Square and getting lost in the lanes, which I could have spent much longer looking around. I probably didn't see half of them! I also spent a pretty large chunck of my afternoon in Homesense as we just don't have one in Cornwall (or Devon?!), so I bought all the lanterns I could carry which I then had to lug all the way back to the seafront where Mike was picking me up!

For dinner that evening we went to check out the Marina, which is so lovely at night. We couldn't choose from all the restaurants so settled for a Whetherspoons dinner to keep the costs down, which was actually perfect. We had a harbour view and good food which was all we wanted.

The next day Mike didn't have to work which meant I had an exploring partner until we had to head back home! We went on the hunt for breakfast, my first choices of Bills and The Breakfast Club were too busy and our bellies weren't prepared to wait. We came across this amazing smelling place called Wafflemeister, and any thing with 'waffle' in the title is okay by me. This place was amazing, I had a sweet waffle with bananas and cream and Mike went for a savoury option, definitely recommend this place for a different breakfast, or desert!

We then had to walk those waffles off so went for a stroll down the pier. It was such a beautiful day, we walked to the end and back taking in the sea air and the smell of doughnuts. Before we knew it it was time to get the car and head back because Cornwall was a good 5 hours away! Brighton, I'll definitely be back.

My Disney Trip in Instagram's

So you may have been wondering what has happened to me since I went to Florida in April, I did actually come home (even though I wanted to stay there forever and could quite happily call Cinder's Castle my home) I just haven't visited my own little blog in a couple months! Life just gets in the way sometimes, especially when this isn't my full time job. Sometimes you need to take a little time out to get re-inspired and come back better than ever, which is what I've done!

I wanted to get back into the swing of things with my Instagram-style Diary. I am going to do a full trip report at some stage, I'm having MacBook problems at the moment so I'll start those when I get that sorted! I thought I'd do this post in the meantime with all my phone pictures! We had such an amazing trip and I can't wait to share our day to day Disney adventures with you but I hope you enjoy seeing our trip through my iPhone for now!

Sensationail Kitten Heel | Review

Here's a colour to brighten up your January! That's the exact reason I picked Kitten Heel out of my growing Sensationail nail polish collection. I've absolutely loved looking down at my nails every day of this gloomy month and seeing a really really bright pop of pink! Kitten Heel is a bright fushia pink, it looks a little more coral in these photos but it's definitely fushia! After wearing too much red, gold and glitter over the festive season it's been really refreshing to wear this colour and I'm not even a huge fan of pink (unless it's pastel of course).

What's your favourite Sensationail colour? I want to know which I should try next!
