La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo + Review

So, the famous La Roche-Posay released an updated version of their cult Effaclar Duo at the beginning of the year and I was lucky enough to be sent a sample by the lovely people at Escentual.com. I was really intrigued to use this new product as the original had been a staple in my skincare for a while however it had stopped working recently, I put it down to maybe my skin becoming too used to the product, or I was just getting a different type of blemish which was harder to budge. The new Effaclar Duo +* is basically a super charged version which has all the properties of the original but now it will help with those horrible red marks and scars left over when the spot is essentially gone.

I suffer with this problem hugely as I have very pale skin and the mark left when the blemish is gone is sometimes worse than the spot in the first place! I did find it helped with this a little, however I think because of all the hype around the product I was expecting something a little more 'super hero'. The new formula still wasn't as healing on my blemishes as it had been before but it did make a little difference. You can read my previous review of the original product here. Check out my previous post to find out what product I AM loving which is doing wonders for my skin.

I probably won't be buying this again any time soon, it's a shame that it's not working for me anymore as I really did love it to begin with!  Has this happened to you with this or any other product? Let me know what you thought! Or did you prefer the original? x

Lush Tea Tree Water Review

Hello everyone! I'm back to blogging today after a little break while I moved house, I want to say a huge thank you to all you lovely readers who have stuck with me and patiently waited for my blog to get back into the swing of things! I will be posting a little 'update' post soon which will catch you up with everything thats been going on, and I might sneak in a few snippets of our new house :) So stay tuned for that!

I thought I'd break myself back in with a little Lush product review. Now you all know by now how much I LOVE Lush, I thought I'd try some of their skincare as I haven't indulged as of yet. This is a little spray that has been a lifesaver these last few months and it's the Lush Tea Tree Water. Now this is actually a toner which you can use after cleansing morning and night, or you could also just use to spritz on and freshen up, I'm thinking perfect for holidays!

Tea Tree is well know for it's antibacterial properties, it's also anti fungal and antimicrobial so it actually helps keep away that bacterial which can cause those pesky spots. And I can reveal it has done just that, I think I've had one spot since I started using this product which is fantastic for me! It's ingredients also boast Grapefruit Water and Juniperberry Water so you can add being rich in vitamins and having antiseptic properties to the list!

At £3.95 a pop this is a must-try for anyone who needs a little help with their skin, or for anyone who is a little lazy with their skincare this is so quick and easy to use! So my first venture into Lush skincare was a success!

Have you tried this toner? Or are there any other Lush skincare wonders you think I should try? Let me know in the comments below!
