Lush Butterbear | Review

One of my all time favourite Lush bath bombs is the Butterball. Not because it's flashy, colourful and bright (because it's not), but because it totally relaxes me when I use it in a bath. At Christmas Lush turn the butterball into this cute little bear and I love him!

This bath bomb is all about being pampered, it's super moisturising, you can actually feel how soft your skin is whilst still in the bath. It has the loveliest vanilla scent which I find really comforting and the cocoa butter leaves your skin feeling amazing.

For me this is the ultimate in relaxation, you can just drop it in the water, forget about it and let it work it's Lush magic. Your not interested about what colour the bath is going, how much your going to have to scrub the bath clean, or even worried about taking an Instagram! Just lie and relax! Also I can't believe this little fella only costs £1.95!

What's your favourite festive Lush bath bomb? X

Lush Haul #1

It's that time of year again when I just can't keep myself away from Lush. The festive range is my absolute favourite and I obviously couldn't resist doing a bit of shopping, so here's what I got!

Firstly I picked up a non-Christmas item, I've never used Intergalatic before but seen the most amazing bath displays on Instagram, so had to try one of these!

Next I picked up So White, this smells incredible, like apples. It's so fresh smelling I think it would be great for a morning bath.

This is possibly the yummiest smelling Lush product I have ever tried, this is Yog Nog and I can't wait to use this one! I think I might wait until Christmas Eve to use this.

Next is the Butterbear, the Butterball is one of my all time favourites and what's not to love when it comes in bear form?!

Lastly we have Candy Mountain, this is definitely a festive favourite of mine, the scent just reminds me of Christmas baths!

Let me know what your favourite festive Lush product is! And is there anything else I MUST try? X

A Trip To The Happiest Place On Earth | Part 1 - The Details

I wanted to do a little post today about a very exciting holiday that I'm currently in the process of planning. Yes, we're going to ORLANDO! And yes, more importantly we're staying at DISNEY! I've been to Florida may times before (including this trip I posted about here) but have never ever stayed on Disney property before, and I couldn't be more excited! The thought of planning a disney trip can be quite daunting, I mean there are so many hotels, so many parks and so much to do, where do you start!?

For me this trip is all about my boyfriend and I having the most fun two weeks imaginable, it's also about us getting away from everyday life and trying to relax a little as well. I think it's important to remember when your planning a holiday like this that it's YOUR holiday, you don't have to do everything, you probably won't have the time to anyway! My plan is to pick the things we MUST do, then let everything else fit in around that. I'm not going to plan absolutely everything because we don't know how we're going to feel once we're there, and we don't want to completely exhaust ourselves, this is a holiday after all!

So, the details. We're flying with Virgin Atlantic on the 20th April 2016, we've never actually flown with Virgin before so really looking forward to that! We'll then check into Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH CLUB, can you tell I'm excited? At the time of booking we had a few things kindly thrown in by Disney, we both have a complementary quick service meal plan which is amazing. This is actually the reason we decided to stay on property as we probably would have spent the same over all staying off site and paying for meals everyday. We also have a $200 Disney spending voucher included which will come in very handy for things such as Minnie ears and the endless cute mugs I'm going to want to take home! I think it's so great that Disney put on offers like this and it's really worth looking out for them when your planning your holiday. There are also a few other things which will also be included such as the Memory Maker, this is great especially if it's just the two of you as it'll mean you'll get other photos than selfies! You'll also get ride photos included!

Whilst writing this post I've realised there is SO much I want to share with you guys so I'm going to make this part 1 of many to come. I'll be talking about the My Disney Experience App, the parks, dining and more so keep an eye! Also get in touch and tell me what you'd like to know about planning a trip to the happiest place on earth x

Sensationail Raspberry Wine | Review

You might remember a previous post I did about Sensationail and their ingenious at-home gel nail system, if you don't you can find it here. Well, for while I got a little lazy with my nails and completely forgot I even had this set. To be honest I'm not a huge fan of painting my nails, I find the whole process of removing, filing, painting, really really boring. I also hate having chipped nails. These two don't go well together! I recently discovered this set again and oh my gosh why did I ever stop!?

I think one of the reasons I stopped using Sensationail is because I only had two colours and apparently I get bored easily. So I decided to branch out and buy a few new colours to try, and the first one I've used is Raspberry Wine.

I'm going to be honest, the reason I gravitated towards this colour is because it instantly reminded me of Christmas, and as we've got past bonfire night now I'm all about that. This is the most gorgeous festive colour, it's slightly more red on the nails than it looks straight from the bottle, but not quite a pillar box red. It also has a really subtle shimmer to it which makes it super glossy. I think this is going to be my Christmas nail colour!

The photo below was taken 6 days after I painted them, 6 DAYS! No chips, just perfect nails and I didn't even have to step outside the house or more importantly take of my pyjamas!

Have you used Sensationail? What colour should I try next? x

It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Palette | REVIEW

We all love a good palette, I mean a whole load of eyeshadows that complement each other all in one place, winner! This beauty from US brand IT Cosmetics is definitely one to look at. I hadn't heard too much about IT Cosmetics until I stumbled across a photo of this product and couldn't help but shout 'OMG it's SO pretty!!'. Then it just magically appeared in my basket and I couldn't get rid, ahem ahem.

The 'IT' stands for Innovative Technology because the whole brand is created with leading cosmetic surgeons to produce cutting-edge, problem solving makeup with anti-aging properties and skin-loving ingredients etc etc the list goes on! The brand are also cruelty free which I love.

This palette is called 'naturally pretty' for a good reason, I mean have you seen it? Its filled with the most beautiful yet natural, wearable shades which you can easily take from day to night. I've used this on my bridal clients all summer and they have all loved it, personally I think this is the perfect bridal palette. You get 14 lovely matte shades and one double sized transforming pearl colour to add a little shimmer if you like. You basically get the best of both worlds with this one! To make the colour pearl you just add the transforming colour on top, its so easy! And it's not glittery, just gives the perfect amount of shimmer. The formulation is also overall really good, the shades all have a very good colour payoff and blend very easily.

The colours L to R are: Nior, Midnight, Iconic, Violet, Java, Mocha, All Heart, Soulful, Sunset, Warmth, Sunrise, Soft Light, Love and Sheer Joy.

Do you have anything from IT Cosmetics? What should I try next?  Let me know if you'd like to see an eye makeup look using this palette! x

Zoella Beauty Fresh Bath Fizzer | Review

With the launch of the new Zoella Beauty range comes a brand new bath fizzer! This was my favourite product from her first range so was first on my list to try. First of all how cute is the packaging? I absolutely love the colours, it was actually a shame to open! I also love the 'do not eat' label on the product, because it actually does look and feel like a chocolate bar! When unwrapping the first thing you notice is the scent, it's fresh and fruity pretty much what you expect from the name of the bar.

This bar is sectioned into four quite large chunks which you break apart and they have little bows and 'Z's on them which is a really lovely touch. One bar is enough for a bath but I think you could definitely use two if you wanted. It fizzes straight away when placed into the water, just like a bath bomb, and fills your bath with fresh fruity goodness! The scent isn't too over powering, it's just enough to fill the room with fragrance and to stick around for a bit post bath.

Overall I think this is such a lovely product and a nice change to something from Lush which is where all my other bath products come from! I will definitely continue using these as a nice addition to my bath time!

Let me know if you've used this bath fizzer, and what product should I try next from the new Zoella Beauty Tutti Fruity range? x

DIY Vanilla Lip Scrub

So for the last few days my lips have been super dry for some reason and my favourite lip balm couldn't even sort them out! I decided that I needed a lip scrub but I'm out of my Lush one and my closest store is a good 30 miles away (#Cornwallproblems). So, why not just make one myself? How hard can it be right? It actually was really easy as all the ingredients were already in my cupboard, and it took about 10 minutes to put together! Here's what you'll need to make your own:

Olive oil
White sugar
Brown sugar
Vanilla extract

First I combined a teaspoon of the oil and honey into a small ramekin, then added a little of the vanilla extract. It's best to only add a small amount at this stage as you can always add more later. Then I moved onto the sugar and again added a teaspoon of each. Then mix it all together!

At this point you'll be able to tell if it's the right consistency or if it needs a little more of something. For me, it was too runny so I added a little more of each of the sugars, and voila!

I didn't want to just put in one of those little disposable travel pots, I wanted something cuter. I found this little jar which you get marmalade in and thought it was perfect. It's so cute!

Your probably thinking, "great it looks nice, does it work?". Yes it does! It works exactly like a Lush scrub and it even tastes a little bit like the popcorn one. And what I love is that you know exactly what has gone into it, there's no hidden nasties. There are so many different flavours you could make, you can just switch the vanilla for something like peppermint oil, or cinnamon! I think this could make a great gift for a friends birthday or stocking filler at Christmas!

I'd love to know if you've ever made your own lip scrub? Or if you have a go at this one let me know and tweet me a pic! Happy scrubbing! x

24 Hours In London

London is one of my favourite cities to visit, so when my boyfriend announced he was going for a business meeting I jumped at the opportunity to join him and go exploring. Whenever we've planned trips to London we've always tried to cram in all the touristy bits which seem compulsory to do when your a Cornish girl in the big city. So this time I wanted to relax a little and go to a part of London I'd never had time to visit before.

Camden has such a different vibe to anywhere I've been to before, its so cool and relaxed. Everywhere you look theres something interesting and quirky to look at. I got there at about 9.30 in the morning so first I wandered up the main street looking for the market. The shop fronts are covered in 3D art everything from dragons to shoes! I think Camden is one of those places that whatever time or day you go there will always be something going on, its also an amazing place to people watch, and I love people watching!

After a little walk and I stumbled across Camden Lock Market, failing to see the huge 'Camden Lock' sign on the bridge right in front of me! It was very quiet because of the time in the morning I was there but it was really nice being there to see the early risers wandering around and the traders setting up their stalls and preparing for the day ahead.

My favourite part was probably the food court, everything smelt amazing, I really wished that I hadn't already eaten breakfast. I really liked the look of this organic coconut tea but I forgot to go back to try some, next time!

After my market experience I wanted to find Primrose Hill so I headed in that direction. Now I knew that there was going to be a nice view over London but I didn't realise that I was going to be able to see absolutely everything! I thought the view was incredible, I could of sat there all day.

However despite the sunshine it was getting a little chilly and very windy up there so I headed down back through the park and on to a lovely little street which was aligned with cute shops and little restaurants.

I loved this little florist so much, it just looked so pretty. I would have bought a bunch to take home but I didn't think they would have survived the hot car journey back to Cornwall!

I also thought this bike was so cute with the flowers in its basket, this was actually outside a little restaurant which was really busy inside, it must have been a good place to go because the street was practically empty, I guess thats where they all were!

I hope you enjoyed this type of post and reading about my day in London. It was so different from any day I'd spent there before, just really chilled and relaxed. I love days like that sometimes, I didn't have a plan at all, just a few places I knew I wanted to find. I think this may be my favourite place now to go in London and I definitely want to go back again for longer!

Out With The Old, In With The Duck Egg Blue

We've been in our own house for just over a year now, and I love nothing more than buying new pieces for it! Whilst browsing the latest Argos catalogue I came across this kitchen trolley and I knew I had to have it because 1, it would solve our complete lack of storage/worktop space problem we have and 2, it looked like an amazing project. I love taking things and making them my own, and I love reading posts like this for inspiration myself. So here's what I did!

This is the Pine Tile Top Kitchen Trolley from Argos, it's a total bargain at £39.99 you can find it here. I then went to the local Hardware Shop in my town and picked up some Chalk Paint and a couple sheets of sandpaper. Also I found some super cute little drawer knobs in a local furniture shop, these drawers do have sloped tops to pull them out but they're a little tricky, plus the knobs completely change the look!

I used Chalk Paint which is the easiest paint to use as I didn't need to prep the wood at all, yep no sanding for me! So all I needed to do was give the trolley two coats, leaving it to completely dry in-between. Then I just used the sandpaper to sand around the edges to give a distressed look, you can do this as much or as little as you like depending how distressed you'd like it to look. To add the drawer knobs I drilled a hole in each drawer and attached them, easy peasy!

So here's the end result!

I absolutely love the finished look, its exactly what I had in mind when I was originally looking for a kitchen Trolly. I love that I've been able to create a completely original piece for about £50! I'll definitely be doing this again.
