Sensationail Kitten Heel | Review

Here's a colour to brighten up your January! That's the exact reason I picked Kitten Heel out of my growing Sensationail nail polish collection. I've absolutely loved looking down at my nails every day of this gloomy month and seeing a really really bright pop of pink! Kitten Heel is a bright fushia pink, it looks a little more coral in these photos but it's definitely fushia! After wearing too much red, gold and glitter over the festive season it's been really refreshing to wear this colour and I'm not even a huge fan of pink (unless it's pastel of course).

What's your favourite Sensationail colour? I want to know which I should try next!

Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 | Review

Today I am BACK! I've been working hard over the Christmas break to take my blog to the next level, I've given it a whole new look and also changed the name as it's been becoming less and less about makeup and more about, well everything really! I really hope you like it, and I'd love to hear any feed back you guys have!

Anyway, moving swiftly on to the main point to this post…the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8. I have wanted one of these beauties for AGES, but I could never really justify buying one for myself. So, when I  found one waiting for me under the Christmas tree this year I couldn't be happier! I'm a huge fan of photography, I just love the whole process of seeing a great shot, taking the picture and capturing that memory forever.

First things first, it's SO PRETTY! I mean just look at it, and it's available in a whole range of lovely colours. I particularly like the white one though, I don't know why but I'm a huge fan of white! When I first took it out of it's box I was a little confused and unsure what to do because it so basic! I mean I'm used to a DSLR which has loads of buttons and levers and things to press and this has literally an 'on' button. It's actually really refreshing to have something you can just turn on and use, you don't have to think too much about the lighting or about shutter speed at all! There is a dial which you can turn depending if your shooting outdoors or indoors, and it will actually determine this itself and light up (okay so it's a little clever).

I can't tell you my level of excitement when I took my first photo, I wasn't quite sure how it was going to come out and it takes about two minutes to develop. That was an anxious two minutes let me tell you, but it came out amazing! I love the look of the photos they have such lovely vintage look, Not every one I've done has come out perfect, but thats okay with me and totally part of the learning process.

I can't tell you how particular I am when taking photos with my Instax, is anyone else like this? I feel like I don't want to waste any of the film and it's not like you can view and delete like we're all so use to doing! This actually is part of the fun of taking a polaroid and it'll mean that the photo will mean that much more to you as it's been so carefully chosen. I also have a really lovely blue case for mine which makes it more of an accessory and a dream to carry round.

I really hope you've liked reading this post and are liking the new look of my blog! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year and enjoyed having a peek into mine through the polaroid photos! Lets make 2016 amazing! Kate x
